This three-day biking adventure offers exciting downhill rides in the breathtaking Andes mountains, relaxing soaks in the hot medicinal springs of Lares, and comfortable camping in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Passing through different ecological zones, we enjoy spectacular views of snow-covered peaks and fertile river valley, experiencing true encounters with local Andean farmers along the way. An optional extension to the archeological wonders of Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu is available for this trip.

1
Cusco / Calca
Early in the morning, we take a private bus through the Sacred Valley to Pisac. After preparing the bicycles, we begin our gradual downhill ride of 18K on a dirt trail to the town of Calca (approximately 5 hours). Along the way, we stop for a picnic lunch with the comfort of portable tables and chairs. We will enjoy picturesque views of the Urubamba mountain rande and pass through rich agricultural areas until we reach Calca where we camp for the night L,D

Calca / Lares Hot Springs
After a hearty breakfast, a private bus will take us up to the Calca Pass (4,200 m.), where we begin our off-road descent of approximately four hours. The vegetation becomes greener as we enter a high jungle ecological zone. Our trail comes out in Lares, where we can enjoy the afternoon bathing in the hot springs before camping for the night. B,L,D

Lares / Cusco
Bus to Calca Pass to begin our downhill ride of approximately 5 hours to Calca. We descend the winding trail toward the Sacred Valley in an atmosphere of peace and beauty, with the snowy mountains of Pitusiray and Sahuasiray as a background. From Calca, transport is provided back to Cusco or to Ollantaytambo for the Machu Picchu extension. B,L
