SACRED VALLEY PROGRAMS
In the morning we drive from Cusco through the scenic Sacred Valley, where we’ll stop near the small Andean village of Chincheros. Here we prepare the bikes and begin our descent on a dirt road past the beautiful Lake Huaypo and then gradually climb to the circular Inca terraces of Moray. After visiting this ancient laboratory, we continue on to the colonial town of Maras and then to a sharp off-road descent through the Saltpans of Maras. We come out near a bridge that crosses the Urubamba River. After lunch we take our transport back to Cusco or spend the night in the Sacred Valley.
CUSCO DOWNHILLS
After hotel pick-up we take a tourist bus above Cusco to the Inca remains of Tambomachay to begin our ride. Taking the off-road trail and paved road, we get an unconventional glimpse of the archaeological park of Sacsayhuayman (includes the sites of Sacsayhuayman, Q’enko, Pukapukara, Zone X, and Tambomachay).
