Beginning with a pick up from your hotel, we will take you over to the Bus station, where you will board the bus to go to Puno (9 hours and 389 km away) at 7:30am. Along the way, you will make stops at various Archaeological sites: Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, La Raya and Pukara, with guided tours at each stop. You will also enjoy a delicious buffet Lunch at a tourist restaurant along the way. Eventually, you will arrive to Puno at about 5:30pm, there will be somebody waiting to take you to your hotel for the night.

The tour begins at 7:45am with a pickup from your hotel and transfer to the docks on the lake where we will depart by boat. After about 30 minutes of riding on the boat, we will arrive to the world famous Floating Islands of Uros. We will just stop there for a brief tour before continuing on to visit the gorgeous Amantani Island. On the way there we will enter into the “greater lake” area which will offer some breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.

Amantani is an island with stunning landscapes and an enriched tradition, located about 42 km from the Puno pier, where Quechua is the principle language spoken, although the Spanish language has also been introduced by visitors. The climate is warm and dry during the day times but gets rather frigid in the night times (not to mention the wind). When we arrive, your guide will arrange for the home stay in typical homes and then you will enjoy a typical lunch with your host family. Afterwards, we will visit the Andean Pachamama and Pachatata temples (mother and father Earth). That will be a good way to appreciate the majestic lakes and its inhabitants (sleep on the island).

Beginning with a typical Breakfast, we will depart at about 8:30am towards Taquile Island, 45 minutes away. Once at Taquile, we will walk towards the main pueblo in the center of the islands, appreciating some beautiful views along the way. Once there, we will visit the Plaza de Armas where we will be able to appreciate some of the local crafts and customs of the localers. After having another typical Lunch, we will begin our return route back to Puno, arriving at about 5:30pm. End of Service
